WELCOME

Welcome to Teach Inclusively, a space for inclusive learning as well as Greek language. Join us in celebrating diverse teaching strategies and enriching the learning experience for everyone!

Hi!

My name is Aspa.

I am an Inclusive Educator, Autism & Neurodiversity Specialist Teacher (QTS, MA), Greek Tutor, and Founder of Teach Inclusively — a space dedicated to sharing evidence-based teaching practices for inclusive and neurodiversity-informed education, as well as offering engaging programmes to learn Greek through interactive, play-based, and holistic approaches.

Currently, I work as an Advisory Teacher for Autistic Young People in a local authority, providing specialist advice and support for neurodivergent students. My responsibilities include managing a caseload, monitoring progress, and collaborating with SENCos, social workers, parents, teachers, and local authorities. I also contribute to IEPs, attend planning meetings, and chair formal assessments.

Previously, I was an Autism Advisory Teacher in a different local authority, as well as Autism Specialist Teacher for Year 3 and 4 students, and taught in a high-needs classroom for children with complex needs.

I also run Greek tutoring programmes for children of all ages, including bilingual learners and those learning Greek as a second/foreign language. My services include 1:1 personalised sessions, group lessons, formal curriculum teaching, and creative online clubs, designed to support language development, practical communication skills, and confidence in both in-person and online settings.

I created this space to share teaching ideas for inclusive and autism-friendly environments, but also as a space to learn Greek. As an educator, I realised there is a significant gap in teaching materials for Greek learners: most resources are designed either for very young children or adults, with few age-appropriate, engaging options for primary and secondary students, particularly for those learning Greek as a second language. Teaching Greek in the UK has allowed me to adopt a different approach compared to the traditional methods used in Greece. My students who follow the formal Greek curriculum engage with the language through fun games, interest-based activities, and interactive learning, similar to the approaches used in the UK education system, making lessons meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable.
